Lhasa is the central city of Tibetan region and site of devout pilgrimage. This ancient city rose from a marshy land of wildness called Wotang in 650 A.D., when the Tubo Kingdom, led by Songstan Gambo–chief of Tubo tribe in the Yarlung River Valley, built a palace on the hilltop of Potala and then had conquered the whole Tibetan region. Encircling it is the Barkhor Street–a converging town in past
and present, the secular and sacred, clamor and serenity, reminiscence and abandonment.
Your Itinerary
Day 1:
Board your overnight flight to Hong Kong

Day 2:
Transfer from Hong Kong to Shen Zhen city. After lunch, visit at the "splendid China" and "China Folk Culture Villages". Have special folk dinner in the "Village" and attend folk culture evening shows "The Emerald".

Day 3:
After breakfast, fly from Shen Zhen to Chengdu and lodge at Tibet Hotel in Chengdu. Have typical Sichuan food in the restaurant. Visit Grand Panda reproducing base.

Day 4:
Board China Southwest Airline to "the roof of the world". Upon arrival in Lhasa, take an 80-minute bus to your hotel. View the unique tribes of Tibetan Nationality and the highest-altitude river - Yaluzhangbu River. This afternoon is free to rest and acclimatize.

Day 5:
Have breakfast in the Hotel, visit Potala Palace. After lunch, you will take a nap and then visit Jokhang Temple and walk down the Barkong street.

Day 6:
Full-day sightseeing at Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery.

Day 7:
Breakfast in the Hotel. Transfer to the airport to board China Southwest non-stop flight back to Chengdu. This afternoon, you will enjoy the Sichuan Tea Culture in Chengdu Teahouse.

Day 8:
Fly to Shen Zhen city. After lunch, transfer to Hong Kong by bus.

The day is free for independent activities and shopping in Hong Kong.
