By way of guided tours and independent exploration you will visit several of the most prominent sites in Mesoamerica. This 9 day/8 night custom tour via land and air begins in Flores or San Pedro Sula. All departures are arranged by request. Flights between Palenque, Tikal, and Copan are included. Meals are included as indicated.
Your Itinerary
Day 1:
Guatemala: Arrive in Flores, Guatemala and transfer to Tikal National Park. Stay overnight at the Jungle Lodge.
Day 2:
Tikal: Experience the wonders of Tikal on an extensive guided tour of this UNESCO World heritage Site. Explore the Temple of the Great Jaguar, Temple of the Inscriptions, Lost World Plaza, and the Great Pyramid. Stay overnight at the Jungle Lodge.

Day 3:
Tikal: According to your interests, take a full day to explore the site and surrounding park at your own pace. Stay overnight at the Jungle Lodge.

Day 4:
Palenque: Early morning flight to Palenque Airport. Enjoy a full-day guided tour of this well-preserved Maya site. Explore the Royal Sepulcher, Palace, Group of the Cross, and Temple of the Inscriptions which houses Lord Pacal's tomb. Stay overnight at the Hotel Kin-Ha.

Day 5:
Palenque: You may explore the site further on your own or take an optional tour of Bonampak, Yaxchilan, Misol-Ha Waterfall or other nearby points of interest. Stay overnight at the Hotel Kin-Ha.

Day 6:
Palenque and Guatemala: You have the entire morning at leisure before taking an afternoon flight to Guatemala City via Flores. Stay overnight at the Royal Palace Hotel.

Day 7:
Copan: Early morning flight to Tablones Airfield and an all day guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and its new Museum of Maya Sculpture. Copan was the artistic and scientific center of the Mayan World. Stay overnight in the village of Copan Ruinas.

Copan: You may revisit the park and museum at your own pace or explore the village of Copan Ruinas. Stay overnight in the village of Copan Ruinas.

Departure: Transfer to San Pedro Sula International Airport for departure.
