Select your dates and leave the planning and driving to us!

* Itinerary

- Day 1

Arrive in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. You select the dates - we tailor this holiday to you so you can expect small numbers of fellow travellers and a huge unspoiled landscape. Look for icebergs out the plane window as you fly into the continent's most easterly airport: St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. We meet you at the airport, give you a brief holiday overview plus a local information kit, and take you to your hotel. Tomorrow the fun begins.

- Day 2

This morning we enjoy a 2.5 hour boat voyage around the new world's largest puffin colony. The islands we visit also include North America's largest kittiwake colony and second largest murre colony. Tens of thousands of other seabirds and the world's second largest storm petrel colony are also featured. Then it's on to the archaeological dig at Baltimore's first colony before we return to St. John's.

- Day 3

Lighthouses, icebergs, the closest point of land to where the Titanic sank, the world's most southerly caribou herd, a tern colony, the first New World landfall of the Mayflower, and sometimes whales and seals are featured on this exciting day of walking, driving, and photography.

- Day 4

Explore Placentia, the first outpost of New France or just spend the whole day visiting the continent's third largest gannet colony. The site is also the breeding ground for thousands of other seabirds including the world's most southerly thickbilled murres. We sometimes see the first seabird eggs of the year and sometimes icebergs, whales, seals, moose, and caribou put in appearances. Waterfalls and spring wildflowers add to the day's wonders.
